Eye exams performed by independent optometric physician Ken Ehlers. Dr. Ehlers, known as Ken to his patients, is a native of Idaho but has lived in Oregon for the past 35 years.  He grew up on a dairy farm in Twin Falls, ID, received his undergraduate degree in Business Adminstration from the College of Idaho in Caldwell, ID.  After serving four years in the U.S. Air Force, he received his Doctor of Optometry degree from Pacific University in Forest Grove, OR in 1979.

Ken served on the Oregon Board of Optometry from 1986 – 1991, serving one term as President. He also was a member of the Ashland Community Hospital Foundation for ten years, served a term on the Ashland Airport Commission and is an active member of the Ashland Rotary Club.

Over his years of practice, Ken has developed a strong interest in Syntonic Phototherapy – the use of visible light frequencies through the eyes to enhance visual attention and the ability to comprehend what we see.  It is also used to treat headaches, eyestrain, reading problems, and the visual consequences of stress and trauma including traumatic brain injury.
